Great Yarmouth Christmas Fayre 2024

The annual Great Yarmouth Christmas Fayre is a free entry 3-day festive craft, gifts and food event held annually in the historic Great Yarmouth Minster of St. Nicholas Church, Church Plain, Great Yarmouth. This year the Fayre will be open from 10am until 8pm on Friday 22nd November then from 10am – 5pm Saturday 23rd and 10am to 4pm on Sunday 24th November, with over thirty specialist handcraft, food and gift stalls. There will be festive entertainment in the Minster each day with Father Christmas on hand on Saturday and Sunday to meet and greet and sit for photo’s. Santa’s Express festive road train will be providing a free shuttle service from the market place to the Minster (Sat and Sun only) with free parking available in town centre car parks from 4pm Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday.

Parking in town centre council car parks will be free all day on Saturdays and Sundays from 23rd November until 29th December.

Great Yarmouth Christmas Light Switch on 2024

The Great Yarmouth Christmas Lights and Fireworks event on Friday 22nd November promises an exciting evening of family friendly entertainment with choirs, dance groups and live music ahead of the switch-on by her worship the Mayor of Great Yarmouth at 7pm immediately followed by a rooftop firework display.

Harbour Radio will be presenting the live music and entertainment from the stage in the market place from 5pm and many town centre shops will be open until 8pm. The event coincides with the first day of the in Great Yarmouth Minster which will also be open until 8pm

Parking in town centre council car parks will be free after 4pm.

An evening of Norwegian Christmas carols performed by The Lardal Kantori

Making their 20th annual visit to Great Yarmouth, the Lardal Kantori will be performing a concert of traditional Norwegian Christmas carols in Great Yarmouth Minster on the evening of Saturday 23rd November. The Norwegian choir are travelling from their homes in South-East region of Norway where they have been rehearsing for this special concert since early summer. The much anticipated annual concert will be followed by a complimentary buffet kindly sponsored by local electrical engineers Bowers and Barr, where the audience can meet the choir members.

Parking in town centre council car parks will be free from this Saturday and every Saturday and Sunday until 29th December.
